A wooden machiya on Takakura-dori in Fukudenjicho, Shimogyo-ku, central Kyoto. You have the whole house: two bedrooms, two beds, sleeping up to four guests, with one full bathroom and a separate half-bath. The kitchen comes fully equipped, with a stainless steel oven, gas-range cooking, a refrigerator and a mini fridge, a microwave, a rice maker, and a dining table. There is a private hot-tub soaking bath, a 47-inch HDTV with Netflix, a washer paired with a free dryer, and air conditioning throughout, and you come and go through a private entrance. Pets are welcome and long-term stays are accepted. The house operates as a simple lodging under the Ryokan Business Act (Kyoto City license 京都市指令保医セ第505号).
